Reception for Megan Wallace
The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is sad to report that our Director of Youth, Megan Wallace, has accepted a position at another congregation. We are sorry to see Megan go, but we support her as she follows the Lord’s leading in this new endeavor and we wish her the best in this new opportunity. We are grateful for her service and the investment she has made in the lives of our youth.
You are invited to join us for a reception for Megan on Sunday, November 5, at 3:00 pm in the Christian life center. The SPRC will be working with our staff and youth families to ensure that our youth program remains active during the interim period until a successor is hired.

Altar Flower Dates Available
The following dates are available to purchase the altar flowers: November 5 and 12. If you would like one or both of these dates, sign your name by the date on the flower chart in the mission hall. Fill out a slip if you would like them to be listed in the bulletin as in honor or in memory of someone and put it in Beth’s mailbox outside the office. The cost is $45.

Hesed House of Hope
The Hesed House of Hope has reopened for the winter and will be open year-round from now on. As always, they have many needs and we can help by donating any of the following items: trial size soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream and large garbage bags. You may place your contributions in the “Monthly Mission” cabinet in the mission hall. Please help us fill the bin by the end of November.

Adult Luncheon To Be Held November 9
Join us at 11:30 am in the Christian life center! The fall luncheon will feature recipes from Salem’s new cookbook. Guest speaker Steve Giordano will share his experience as a survivor of the 9/11 attack. Giordano was on the 25th floor of tower 1 when the attack happened. He will share his own personal experience, how it has shaped who he is today and what he believes we can all learn from 9/11. Please extend this information to others and be sure to register by November 5. Cost of the meal is a donation. The sign-up sheet is outside the church office.
