Young With The Restless

Our younger adults class is designed with parents in mind, although those without children are more than welcome! This group is currently studying the book of Acts, utilizing videos, a study book, and guided discussion questions to delve into the New Testament.

The Wired Word

This mixed-age class uses curriculum from The Wired Word, an online Christian organization that discusses current news in light of the Christian worldview. On Sunday mornings, participants read an article together before exploring Biblical connections and engaging in an open, respectful discussion.

Joyful Christians

One of our mixed-age classes, Joyful Christians use curriculum that goes week to week. Right now, the group is learning about different world religions in contrast to Christianity. This approach seeks to be conscious of the wide world around us while understanding what sets Christianity apart.

The Crusaders

The Crusaders, one of our older adult classes, goes unit by unit through different topics and Bible studies. While the content builds off of the previous week, it’s designed so that anyone can join in at a moment’s notice.

 FAQs

  • All of our Sunday School classroom are located upstairs. The easiest way in it to park on the side of the church closest to the apartments. The door closest with concrete stairs leading to it will open up into a hallway. Turn right and go past the fire doors and you will see all of the Sunday School rooms grouped together.

  • While our classes are broken up by age, adults are welcome to join any class that feels like the right fit. Whether that is by the relationships you build or the content the class covers, you will be welcomed wherever you go.

  • Volunteers! Each class is lead by a volunteer and member of Salem’s Christian Education Team. The current exception is the young adult class led by Pastor Eric, and the youth class led by Taylor Bumgarner, the Christian Education Team Leader who is on staff.

  • You can bring a Bible or notepad if you want, but they are by no means required. If you don’t have a Bible, we have plenty to go around. Some classes use devotionals or follow-along books, visitors are welcome to join an anytime.
